Kansas Electric Coop Bridges the Digital Divide to Pump Broadband to Rural Communities

Wheatland Broadband, Kansas

Wheatland Broadband, a subsidiary of Wheatland Electric Cooperative, chose RADWIN JET wireless broadband solution to deliver fast broadband to its rural customers in the ‘last mile'.

In 2013, Wheatland Broadband decided to upgrade its legacy WiMAX network because it provided a low throughput of only 3 Mbps max due to oversubscription. With subscribers’ growing appetite for broadband, Wheatland Broadband needed an advanced carrier-class fixed wireless broadband solution that could provide high throughput and reliability to bridge the digital divide.

What convinced them RADWIN JET was the solution? Download the case study to find out!

At a time when large telecommunications companies had seemingly left rural residents and communities behind, Wheatland Electric made high-speed internet a reality for its members.
