NWIC sought to replace its existing network and build a wireless broadband network that would enable it to serve both homes and enterprises in Niagara’s city-center and in rural areas out of range of traditional DSL or cable service. NWIC’s goal was to reduce operational expenditures and easily scale to serve more subscribers.
